Content Development & Design

Content and its design, in terms of its approach and flow is the most significant element of delivering learning and development interventions. We at UBL understand its importance and its contribution to learner engagement, comprehension, retention, personalization, transfer of knowledge, accessibility, and continuous improvement in the learning experience.

The fundamentals of developing and designing content for learning and development training involve considering key elements that contribute to effective instructional design. At UBL we believe in clearly defining the desired outcomes and learning objectives of the training, objectives which are specific, measurable and motivational, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) and it’s these specifics that guide our content and helps us ensure it is effective and encourages meaningful learning experiences for the target audience.

It’s important to understand the target audience, including their prior knowledge, skills, learning styles, and preferences, hence the significance of TNA and TNI as it is the data and information from these exercises that helps us customize the content to suit the needs and ensure relevance.

Interactivity is another key element that we smartly integrate within our content to actively engage the learners. This can include quizzes, interactive exercises, simulations, discussions, and group activities, encouraging active participation and knowledge application. We will also partner with our client to customise the content with relatable real-life examples, case studies, and scenarios. This helps learners connect the theoretical concepts to practical applications, enhancing their understanding and transfer of knowledge for workplace effectiveness

Another essential aspect is providing timely and constructive feedback throughout the training, hence the inclusion of formative and summative assessments to evaluate learners’ progress, reinforce learning, and identify areas for improvement. Learner’s feedback also helps us the effectiveness of the content and we use this feedback to iterate and improve the content to ensure its ongoing relevance and effectiveness.
